First, I only write about what moves me; what I feel passionate about. I reserve two hours in the morning for writing but have done it at other times of the day. For me, the meat of the work is in planning: outlines, character profiles, charting the journey. It makes the actual writing easier. I don’t always stick to my skeletal construct but it helps the flow.

Music, my relationships and contributing to the world in a positive way.

I went to a few readings and thought that I might benefit from the feedback opportunities.
11. Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?
One of my sons is an aspiring writer and I urge him to live life to its fullest. Take emotional and physical risks. Explore while traveling or standing still. Find people and things to care passionately about. Get your heart broken. Experience as much as you possibly can. It will feed your writing and enhance your enjoyment of life.
