You brush my scars....
You rein your fingers through my hair...
I miss your smile....
Without you...
I am forever living in despair...

I am coy to the thought of that your gone...
My dreams are only half spoken...
I stumble...
I fall...
My heart gives in...
I need you back...
So I can be whole...
and we can be all...

The way you used to sing to me...
The little paper notes you left for me when I woke up...
Such reminders....
Want to make me sleep forever...
You loved watching thunderstorms....
Out on the front porch...
God that was your favorite weather...

Your all I want....
Your all I need...
Why did you leave?
I beg you...
Come back...
Baby please...

The moon is missing one more thing...
and that's your eyes...
gazing upon it like you always used to do...
The stars whisper their thoughts...
Baby, they even miss you too...

Cuddled up in bed....
We used to read to each other...
Laugh...
and play checkers underneath the covers...
Everything about you....
Gave the true meaning...
Of a graceful lover...

You loved when I wrote you songs....
You adored ever moment that held you close..
You were home...
You were right where you belonged...

Every time you cried...
I was there...
To comfort you...
Anything you ever needed...
You can't say I didn't try....

When you got angry....
I would always find a way to cheer you up...
When we were around each other..
It was impossible to stay mad...
It always ended with a laugh...
With you baby, every moment....
Were the best damn moments I have ever had..

I still ask myself each and every day...
"Where did she go?"
I miss you so much...
You can't say I didn't try..
You can't say I never pray...
