Yan Krupnik was born in the Soviet Union in 1985; he lived in Israel, and now in Toronto, Canada. For over 10 years Yan has performed on stage as a clown, and acrobat including Cirque Avaia, and Booff Show. He is fortunate to have performed alongside with his long time mentor, and world renowned clown, mime, actor, and director Nikolai Terentiev.
Yan’s real passion lies in filmmaking, and as an independent filmmaker he has directed numerous shorts, and 2 features. His latest film, “Drink Tea Outside” is available in two languages, English, and Russian, and has been screened in Toronto, and Novosibirsk. Yan was not accepted to the film program at Ryerson University, and is now in 3rd year of Business Management majoring in Marketing. Today Yan is working on a new film, with a story that he hopes will inspire the audience to take some time out of their busy day, and follow their dreams.
