1. What is your teleplay about?
Jack Steakman is a hard-nosed investigative journalist for a trashy supermarket tabloid. With the paper's future in doubt, Steakman tries to break one last blockbuster story in an attempt to save it.
2. Why did you decide to write this teleplay?
I was once a proud subscription holder of "Weekly World News," one of the most underrated sources of humor in American print.
3. How long have you been writing screenplays?
4-5 years.
4. What is your favorite TV show of all-time?
Seinfeld
5. What artist in the industry would you love to work with?
Larry David
6. Who was your hero growing up?
George Carlin and "Macho Man" Randy Savage 7. Ideally, where would you like to be in 5 years?
A stay at home dad, riding the coat tails of some rich cougar. 8. Describe your process; do you have a set routine, method for writing?
It comes in waves. I have terrible dry spells, so when I'm inspired I try to get as much on the page as possible.
9. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
Baseball and 80's hair metal.
10. What influenced you to enter the WILDsound Script Contest?
I'm my harshest critic and think everything I do is terrible, so contests offer an opportunity for the positive reinforcement I never give myself.
11. Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers? Try to eliminate all sources of stress. Do whatever it takes to nurture your ideas and stay in "the zone."
