Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Wes Berger is a Toronto-based actor and writer. Based on a rather embarrassing true story, Switcheroo is his first short-film script.
He has also written Star Weeds: A Spaced Odyssey, a pilot for an animated, satirical, science fiction/stoner comedy series. Solo credits as playwright include: Fool (SummerWorks Festival), Desert Places (New Ideas Festival) and You Are There (Rhubarb! Festival).
Wes also co-wrote and acted in several collective theatre pieces conceived and directed by one of the form’s pioneers, Paul Thompson, including The Georgian Expedition (Sardapphi Theatre, Tbilisi Georgia/SummerWorks Festival) and The Outdoor Donnellys (Blyth Festival). Acting credits for television include; The Jane Show (Global), Tilt (ESPN), Plague City (CTV), Street Time (Showtime), and Show Me Yours (Showcase/Oxygen). Favorite acting credits for theatre include the world premiere, international co-production of Mating Dance of the Werewolf (Manitoba Theatre Centre/Rubicon Theater) and The Homecoming (Manitoba Theatre Centre).
Wes attended Brock University where he was awarded the F. Janet Dolman Prize for excellence in playwriting.
