Wes Berger Bio

Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Wes Berger is a Toronto-based actor and writer whose career has taken him everywhere from the scummiest dive bar in Port Colborne to the former Soviet Union, to just outside of Hollywood and back.

Television credits include; The Jane Show (Global), Tilt (ESPN), Plague City (CTV), Street Time (Showtime) and most memorably and enjoyably, doing a hot love scene with his wife, Precious Chong, on Show Me Yours (Showcase/Oxygen).

Favourite theatre credits include; the world premiere co-production of Mating Dance of the Werewolf (Manitoba Theatre Centre, Winnipeg/Rubicon Theater, Ventura California), The Homecoming (Manitoba Theatre Centre), The Georgian Expedition (Sardaphi Theatre, Tbilisi Georgia/SummerWorks Festival, Toronto), The Outdoor Donnellys (Blyth Festival), Merlin (LKTYP, Toronto), Kiss of the Spider Woman (Theatre Proteus, Toronto), First You’re Born (Now Magazine Oustanding Producttion & Outstanding Ensemble, SummerWorks Festival) Fool for Love (Essential Players, Toronto), American Buffalo (Theatre Proteus, Toronto) and Bridging the Gap: A Port Colborne Play (Port Colborne).

Wes is very grateful to have participated in several collectively created plays directed by one of the country’s originators and masters of the form, Paul Thompson.

Credits as playwright include; Fool (SummerWorks Festival), Desert Places (New Ideas Festival, Toronto) and You Are There (Rhubarb! Festival, Toronto).
