Victor Fan is a Hong-Kong born, Toronto-based filmmaker, editor and producer. Buzzed was his first major short film project.
Arriving in Canada at 8-years old with no English, and even fewer friends, Victor’s career as a filmmaker effectively began here -- running around at recess by himself, acting out ‘superhero soap operas’; each scene written down, planned to the last detail.20-years later, after degrees in business and film; and 3 years spent with a fortune 500 company, Victor finally took the leap, left his career in big business to return to his first love.In 2005 he founded Head Tax Films, a production vehicle for personal projects, and freelance activities – in hopes one day of returning to ‘playing at cinema’ again the way he did as a little boy.
Victor C.H. Fan divides his time between personal projects; freelance work as producer / editor / VFX designer; and teaching workshops at University of Toronto’s Hart House Film Board. and welcomes friends to visit his online reel at www.youtube.com/headtax
