Tony Chiu BioTony Chiu was born in Kowloon, Hong Kong and moved to Los Angeles, California while he was still a baby. From Los Angeles, his family moved to Whittier, where he lived until graduation from college. During these formative years, he immersed himself in movies, from PBS programs to VHS tapes. From junior high and throughout high school, he was an explorer scout for the local access community cable where he worked on various sports shoots and local programs. This was the beginning of the production bug and when it was time for college, filmmaking was on his mind and he has never looked back. Since graduating from U.S.C. in 1995 with a bachelor’s arts degree in film production, Tony has worked on various motion pictures as either camera or editorial assistant. With the knowledge gained through these years of experience, he finally decided that the time was ripe to produce and direct his first short film, “The Duel.” Currently, he is re-writing a feature screenplay and developing other story ideas for other feature films.
