REVIEW:

Time drifted across the ocean. Dark waves threatened to consume fate, and the pressure of life was nearly at its breaking point. And the world edged closer to the abyss, but the strong currents could not hold love back. And the walls of water, our destruction retreated into the deep, and the essence of humanity breached the surface.

A storm raged along the surface, but our end lied within the cold, dark depth of ocean. History was the currents building against us, and time sunk faster into the deep. And our future struggled to not drown under the burden of our actions, the tides of war, but was it too late to start over? Or had we reached the brink of existence only to dive now into oblivion?

The cold winds of war hurled against the world. Preparations for security fell into action. Weapons went live for detonation. The tides were ready to turn, but who would be victorious? And who would realize that the consequences of another world war would seal our fate from those that could become our salvation?

But as the submarine is found, a storm raged against the surface, severing their connection to the outside world, and leaving them trapped under the weight of the ocean. And one Navy Seal begins to decline into high pressure madness, raising the stakes in a drilling platform that already suffered destruction and casualties, and control over the rig slips away. But for Brigman and his crew to survive, they must first save an alien race found in the cold, dark deep, but someone may risk being left behind.

As he completed the mission, disarming the nuke, and saving those trapped beneath the ocean, Virgil knew he couldn’t go back. He could hear her voice begging him to come back to her, but there was no time left. And his words carried across the void, telling her that he still loved her, but it was too late. And as he waited for his last breath of air, they came and saved him, but would they spare the world? Would his last words change the tide for mankind?

With Academy Award visual effects, we plunge deep into the world of The Abyss. Tension coils around waves of suspense, and the depth of mystery carries across a brilliantly written storyline. The heart of drama flows through the talent of actors that bring to life characters both conflicted and driven, and we dive further in-between the lines of struggle and fate. And as we drift down into the end, we find ourselves lifted up by music that pulls at the fabric of our being, and inspiration lights up before us in a vision created across the silver screen.
