Terry Gilliam: Born in Minnesota in 1940, Gilliam started his career as an animator. Moving to England, he contributed animation to the legendary comic troupe Monty Python, and directed 1975’s Holy Grail. Upon Python’s disbanding, Terry fully pursued feature directing, making an impact with the distinctive style of Brazil (’85), and achieving success with 12 Monkeys (’95). Gilliam’s productions have a reputation for difficulties, resulting in him being denied his wish to direct a Harry Potter film. 1968 Movie Reviews
