Tears swell climbing roses,

Sorrowing, reddened, saddened eyes,

Whilst others stand,

Somber, strong, silent,

Gathered donned in funerals colour ….black,

Reverently spoken words hopefully comfort,

Keeping hope alive of lifes’continuance,

Flowers thrown a final farewell,

A historical ritual is repeating, repeats…

In a moment life pauses..

allows mourner’s grief, release,

Waiting, daunting cold,

In the earth..a hole.
