Search WILDsoundSvetlana Bakushina is a media artist, member of Russian Photo Artists’ Union, designer and camerawoman.She was born on October 28, 1979 in Siberian taiga (Russia). Svetlana graduated from Novosibirsk Music College where her specialty was the piano, Novosibirsk State Technical University and is a cameraman by profession.
The first Svetlana’s film “Melody for Flute” got the prize in the nomination for “Best Experimental Film” at the Open International Debut Festival “Start”. Other Bakushina’s films were also marked at different international festivals. When she was still a student, she was invited by an art director L.Sikoruk to work as a director of photography at a TV series “World around Us”, ordered by Ministry of Press and Broadcast Affairs of Russian Federation. The series was shown on central and regional TV channels. The film of this series got the National prize TEFI-region.
S.Bakushina works on TV as a camerawoman and editor. She is the author of lots of combination frames.
In 2004 S.Bakushina became member of Russian Photo Artists’ Union, got gold medal of FIAP of International Photo Art Federation at photo salon in Makau (China) for the poster of Schnitke’s opera “Life with Idiot”. Svetlana takes active part in different international photo salons, arranges her personal exhibitions. For some years Svetlana is occupied with 2D and 3D graphics and also video graphics for theatre performances.Bakushina works in close cooperation with Berlin Transformtheatre art director Henry Baranovsky and one of the brightest Russian choreographers, theatre art director Alla Sigalova and other workers of art.
