False starts and lousy writing… How do you write about yourself? There is nothing I can think of that doesn’t sound and look vain and pretentious. To me, this is a totally embarrassing way to introduce myself. I’d rather skip this part, and let someone else write about me. That is if I had any friends that I’d like to say would write something pleasant, but as I’m sure any contribution from my mates would contain mostly words that are unprintable, then I guess I’ll have to do it myself. Lets start by confirming my name is Stuart John Prowse. I was born in 1975, which makes me 34 years of age on the day of writing this. And I’m a self confessed movie geek…
Or more to the point a self confessed movie fan, I can’t quite claim geek status, as I don’t really get obsessed by the facts and figures of movies. I just like the film, and that usually does the trick. I have to say, that it’s best not to ask me about the intricate details in the making of Star Wars… or something like that. As my love for movies stops at what you see onscreen. I do have a life outside of movies and would rather be at a gig then a sci-fi convention So that’s it, this is me! I’m a music and film fan. I have a day job that I’d rather forget about, so I make regular forays into the world of writing. To date I have written two screenplays, and I have many ideas for novels and graphic novels that I’m working on when I get the time. My dream is to one day get published and say goodbye to the day job, but for now amateur writer status will have to do, as will this short biography. All because at the end of the day, I really don’t like writing about myself.
PS. I’m open to offers of professional writing jobs. Anything that takes me away from the mediocre qualities of my day job would make a very welcome change.
