Steven Cerritos is an American filmmaker living in Toronto, Canada. Just like many modern independent filmmakers, he writes, directs and edits most of his films. He has directed two short films over the last two years, Cerritosis and In Darkness. With a couple of more short films on the way, eventually he hopes to make the jump into feature length films. His style can be summarized as dark, poetic, absurd and avant-garde. Many of his peers describe him as an eccentric filmmaker, as evident by the characteristics of his work and his peculiar affinity for the bizarre and obscure.
