I became fascinated with film and film criticism at a very young age. I’d cut out my favorite reviews and post them on my wall, and became interested in screenwriting and the filmmaking process when I saw Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” at the age of 12. At MIU, I won a screenwriting award for “The Realm,” a 15-minute horror movie. At KU, I wrote movie reviews for the school paper and hosted a weekly discussion of film at the college radio station, interviewing Tom Cruise, Billy Bob Thornton and Gael García Bernal.
Since college, I’ve been writing reviews online and have completed a few spec scripts – including “Airwaves,” a raucous college comedy set in the idiosyncratic world of college radio.
