Stefanie Borges studied acting in Brazil at UNICAMP University in Campinas before moving to São Paulo in 2000 to study filmmaking and graphic design at SENAC University. She produced, wrote and directed the short films, "Triade" and "Ação Criança", and an installation project "What is my name?" On completion Stefanie was invited to lecture digital filmmaking at the university. In 2006 Stefanie moved to Australia and worked as a production assistant for HIPS Production in Melbourne.
In 2008 she completed her film masters at RMIT writing, producing and directing the short film, "The First Concert", (won the best screenplay award (international shorts) 2010 New York International Independent Film & Video Festival).
Stefanie now lives and works in Melbourne, and is currently in post-production of another short film, "Wish", which she also wrote, co-produced and directed.
