Simon Dekker has been making films since 1999.
He recently completed a feature documentary called PUCKHEADS - a high-energy trip into the culture of hockey fans across North America. His dramatic horror short THE EXECUTION OF MARGOT RUMEBE was awarded a Gold Special Jury Award at Worldfest Houston and Best Movie at the Florence DigiFestival.
DANCE TO THIS, an exploration of modern ballet, was invited to the Constellation Change Dance Screen Festival in London England and screened at the Lincoln Centre and at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in NYC. A VERY QUIET, SMALL REVOLUTION explored classical music education at the world-renowned Banff Centre and ALBERTA ROCKS, a rock n' roll show featuringNickelback and The Tragically Hip, won an Ace Award for Excellence in Production.
Simon spends his days looking for work (as a copywriter and director) and his evenings developing three new filmworks. He lives in Toronto.
