Sherry McGuinn is a long-time advertising copywriter and newspaper features writer. She has executed print and broadcast concepts for such brands as McDonald’s, Kellogg’s, Sprint, and the United States Postal Service. Sherry’s feature stories have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and many other publications.
An ardent observer of life’s absurdities, Sherry is pursuing her dream: To leave the demanding world of advertising for the even more challenging environs of the screenwriter.
Sherry's first script, UNDONE, a one-hour pilot for cable (dark comedy), has received some good buzz, thus far. In addition, Sherry has completed four short, dramatic screenplays, HEAR ME, THE BIRTHDAY PARTY, JOHN DELANEY DIED LAST NIGHT, AND LAZY I, three of which were inspired by true incidents, and is working on a sixth project, SAP, a feature film.
Sherry and her husband Jack, live in the Chicago area with their four cats.
