Robert Cohen is an award-winning producer and director, and a founding partner of Toronto-based production company Media Headquarters. Under his creative supervision, Media Headquarters has developed a global reputation for producing innovative and popular film and television projects, and partnering with outstanding creative talent.

He has directed and produced a range of successful projects over the last ten years. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for outstanding family movie for directing and writing The Great Polar Bear Adventure, which employs an inventive combination of live action and CGI animation. He recently developed and produced the political thriller The Summit, a miniseries starring Christoper Plummer and Bruce Greenwood for CBC and Global. Cohen produced the documentary feature Souvenir of Canada, an imaginative adaptation of the best-selling books by author Douglas Coupland, and was the recipient of the prestigious Banff World Television Award for Le Mozart Noir, an international performing arts film that rediscovered black 18th century composer Le Chevalier de Saint-Georges.

Cohen is an active member of the CFTPA, the Documentary Organization of Canada, and values mentoring emerging film and television producers and directors.
