Resident Evil Extinction Movie Reviews Directed by Russell Mulcahy Starring Milla Jovovich Alice (Milla Jovovich), now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Oded Fehr), along with new survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart (Spencer Locke) and Nurse Betty (Ashanti) to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead...and to seek justice. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive. ROBERT'S REVIEW
"Resident Evil: Extinction" was mediocre on all levels. The story didn't offer anything too exciting and the special effects were just OK. The acting was OK from most of the actors, but some of the Umbrella Corp guys delivered absolutely terrible performances worthy of cheesy porno movies (yeah, I'm looking at you Albert Wesker and Umbrella Corp technicians). I liked how Alice's powers were growing and some of the fighting scenes were cool, but overall I was pretty unimpressed and blasé about the whole thing. Plus most of it was really predictable. I'd only recommend watching it only if you're a big Resident Evil fan, but if you didn't care for the previous two movies, then you aren't missing much here. Save your $10 or go see something else instead. All in all, I'd give this movie 2.5 Undead (out of 5). Re-watch value: LOW (late nigh cable when nothing else is on). BRETT'S REVIEW Overall Rating: 2.5 Zombies (out of 5). Re-Watch Value: Moderate (I will buy DVD to complete my set.) Trivia: (1) The production still of Alice (Milla Jovovich) holding two Kukri knives is a visual reference to Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004)'s Poster. (2) "Resident Evil" is the first film trilogy based on a video game series.
