I've been acquiring actors/actresses for some of my films including Love on the Brink. Before I was going to take the show on the road…but I've decided to pay up and stay on location in NYC because I simply do not have the time in my schedule to re-group and scout out other places.
Pushing faster toward the "Brink"
I am working on a few projects that will consume most of my time from now until late 2008. So I was originally going to shoot Love on the Brink in December but now I am looking at a November date.
I have been working on a documentary piece and I need to be in California and Vancouver in December. So I pushed up filming which just makes me more excited about getting it done.
I've acquired some very expensive equipment including an HD camera with a 35mm adapter, lots and lots of lighting and some other stuff...
I'm not referring to myself as a filmmaker just yet, I actually like the sound of "screenwriter"...and I plan to stick with it...
Back to the "Brink"
Back to Love on the Brink...I have my locations...I've been to two of them already and took some pics.
The third is the most important...the bar...I have to go to that location and really dissect it and I plan to do that with one of the actors sometime in October...
As far as screenwriting is concerned, I've been passing around one of my scripts to some seasoned actors in the New York City area whom I've had the pleasure of associating with...
I've learned something really important ...although my script is good enough to get a bunch of next-day call backs from some recognizable names...I'd better have a few 100 grand in my bank account beforehand...
...note to self...actors like to get paid...a lot of money...more money then Joyce Jahnke can give at this point in time...
