Pragadeeshram Rajaram


Interview with Pragadeeshram on WILDsound Radio!

Pragadeeshram Rajaram was born in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India. He did his schooling at Stanes higher secondary school, Coimbatore, after which he continued to complete his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering form the renowned PSG College of Technology, Barathiar University. Although he had a technical background he was always interested in the creative activities, especially in the art of film making.

One of his first ventures was, as Producer and Actor having successfully launched a Musical album titled “Feather”in India. It had a Cast and Crew of nearly 60 People, traveling to over 15 exotic locations in India. The ten tracks were sung by twenty two prominent singers which included Colonial cousins Hariharan and SPB.

He immigrated to Canada in 2003, and is presently a proud Canadian citizen. At the first opportunity in Canada he completed his formal education in film making in 2006 from the prestigious institution of “Toronto Film School”, He passed out with High honors and recognized as a member of the Deans list. He is constantly updating the latest technology and advancements in the field of film making. He cherishes every moment with great passion the Art of Film making.

Pragadeeshram has completed working on a feature script Titled, “A lady, A Gentleman” it would be a treat to the international market. It is to be filmed in New York, Vancouver and India.

Pragadeeshram has presently written, directed and produced four short films, “I Love my Hostage”, “A drop of tear in my cup of coffee”, “Love finds Love” and “Gaffers Nightmare”. “A drop of tear in my cup of coffee” is an official selection at the San Francisco International Children's Film Festival, Kids First Fest, Staten island film Festival, Buckingham Independent film festival and Wild sound Film Festival.

His very last project that he co-wrote and directed is a short film for the production company Inspiration Pictures titled “defeating the odds” which is to be released in 2008.

His script writing is very emotional and compassionate; he believes the human species is one powerful creation that possesses these very special traits. He wants to make films which bring out these feelings to the full potential in both the characters in the film and the audience viewing it.
