"Celebrate" is a poem that was written potentially to fill a commission that my friend Marco Burak had received for a piece of inspiring, uplifting choral music. I enjoyed the flow of the thoughts, and the opportunity to work consciously through the idea that the time we need to celebrate achievement is while we're in the process of reaching it, not just at the end when the goal is attained. We so often forget to enjoy the work, and lose the pleasure of the journey in the focus on its end. Oh, and no, it wasn't accepted for the choral composition... Then at the start Celebrate Find the reason Love the striving Love the strife Find the reason Love the complex Loving life Celebrate Each day building Each day Each day forward Each day Celebrate The design may not be Clear But faith will Make it so Celebrate Find the reason Celebrate Trust the plan Trust yourself Trust the future Find the reason Celebrate
