11 Questions with PAUL WITKO. A WILDsound WINTER 2009 One Page Screenplay Winner

1. What is your One Page Screenplay about?

My screenplay is about how to successfully carry out a blind date using q-cards. Watch it and learn one of the greatest dating secrets ever. It works every time!

2. Why did you decide to write this screenplay?

I wanted to see the reaction on John's face when he realizes that every one of his dating experiences is being viewed by hundreds (I mean, millions!) of people online.

3. How long have you been writing screenplays?

4 days before I made my submissions. Yes, I'm THAT good.

4. What is you all-time favorite film? (name only one)

So hard to answer. My sister caught my brother on tape once swinging her cat by the tail and throwing it over the balcony. That's probably it. (He was fine. My brother got a minor splinter in his left toe but it's nothing a small sewing needle couldn't fix) 5. What artist in the film industry would you love to work with?

I'd Kill Bill to work with the big QT.

6. How many screenplays have you written?

9 & 1/2

7. Ideally, where would you like to be in 5 years?

Probably Australia or at least somewhere where it's warm all the time! I'd also love to move the world as a writer/director of feature films.

8. Describe your process; do you have a set routine, method for writing?

Usually I shake a boggle cube and whatever words I can find I jot down in the order I find them.

9. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

Ant farming, not paying my phone bill, receiving egg nog, de-subtlifying euphemisms

10. What influenced you to enter the WILDsound One Page Script Contest?

My desire and passion for winning at stuff

11. Why should people VOTE for your One Page Screenplay and turn it into a film?

Because I'll give you $10 if you vote for my script... maybe... people should vote for my script because it has an unparalleled level of zaniness and charm! Also, I have some earth shattering & soul moving ideas in store for the world and, frankly, winning this contest would make it a lot easier for those ideas to come to life. Good luck to all the winners!
