REVIEW: Something I really enjoy about this episode is that it repeats one of my favorite storylines to ever happen on the show. Last season, I thought it was a riot when Tobias broke into Maggie’s house when he thought she was blind and did little cat-like maneuvers throughout the house. This time, Lindsay joins him. The two of them have fun while doing it and bond. Maybe things will work out for them. Even though they are completely different, it is obvious the two of them really care about each other. They understand each other. Around Maggie’s house, they find a lot of baby stuff and assume she’s really pregnant. They take a sample of her urine to figure it out officially to report back to Michael. They call Michael to tell him that they do not think she’s lying.
At this moment he receives the call, Michael is with Maggie. He then demands for her to tell him the truth – and she confesses that he’s the father of the child she’s bearing. Michael discovers the two of them might actually have a future and we see a small smile on his face. Tobias and Lindsay have made the call too soon and find a fake belly in a box at Maggie’s. They send Michael a message indicating she’s now probably lying. Perfect timing, right? Exactly after Michael has told her this could work out. Michael confronts Maggie and accuses her of lying again. He breaks it off. She lifts up her shirt, revealing an actual pregnant belly, and storms out of the house. Michael is now starting to question whether or not he is right. He is informed he is wrong after Tobias and Lindsay enter with results from Maggie’s urine that is indicating she is pregnant. They congratulate Michael on being a father. Interesting.
Also, Buster is afraid of the ocean and has never been allowed to swim in it. We do get an official age for him in this episode (32). When he is told he will be deployed to Iraq, George realizes he needs to see his son before he goes. He goes and visits him with a wig on to disguise himself as Oscar…and Buster accidentally finds out his real father is Oscar. I love how it’s not really Oscar who tells Buster he’s his father. Buster is so angry with his mother for lying to him all of his life that he decides that he will go swim in the ocean just to upset her. But it doesn’t turn out in his favor after a seal bites his hand off. Whoa, I’m very interested to see where this takes us! The final scene of the episode is when Michael realizes Maggie has not been lying. This is where the episode leaves us…with a nice cliffhanger. Episode 11 and Episode 12 originally aired on the same night but are two separate episodes. So fans of the show really did not have to wait too long to figure out what was to happen next.
