The Invasion Synopsis: Robert's Review "The Invasion" is the latest body-snatchers type of movie with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig at the helm. We've all seen these types of movies many times before and this one didn't really do anything to revamp or improve upon the genre, so it's basically just another scene-it-before type of movie… the kind you'd watch on cable when there's nothing else on. I wouldn't recommend waiting your hard earned $$$ at the theater on this one. Wait for DVD if you must see it. I personally didn't enjoy this movie… it was predictable, uninventive, and the action scenes were infused with unnecessary camera motion to fake or blur the real action (or lack thereof). I really can't stand it when action movies do that… camera motion has a use, but it MUST be used properly or else it just becomes annoying. Overall, spend your hard earned money on something else and don't waste your time with "The Invasion." All in all, I'd give this movie 1.5 Body Snatchers (out of 5). Re-watch value: NONE Brett's Review Overall Rating: 1 Crashing Shuttle (Out of 5). Re-Watch Value: None (I will not purchase DVD.) Trivia: (1) While filming in Baltimore, Daniel Craig got the call from 'Barbara Broccoli (I)' informing him he won the role of James Bond. He had to take a short period off shooting to fly back to London for the Casino Royale (2006) press release. (2) Nicole Kidman was involved in an accident while riding with others in a picture car mounted on trailer being towed by a camera truck rig. While filming a stunt in downtown Los Angeles, the truck took a turn too wide, slid on wet pavement, and collided with a light standard. Several stunt artists on the picture car were injured in the accident. Ms. Kidman was brought to the hospital as a precaution, but was able to return to the set the next day.
