Movie Reviews Nancy Drew - Robert's Review I've never read the "Nancy Drew" books, so I cannot say how well this movie followed the source material. What I can say is that this movie is really geared towards teenaged girls and fans of the books… that's the target audience. If you fall outside that selective group (like me) then this movie doesn't have much to offer. It's not completely terrible, but there wasn't much there to keep me entertained or interested. I'm kind of curious to see what the target audience thinks of this movie. Anyhow, the story was pretty campy, silly and bland, plus the characters all revolved around Nancy like it was her planet and they were all just passing through. Overall, if you're not of the target audience, then it's not really worth seeing this movie. Save your $10. All in all, I'd give this movie 2 STARS (out of 5). Re-watch value: LOW (if it's on cable and there's nothing else on). Movie Reviews Nancy Drew - Brett's Review Nancy Drew, the resourceful teen detective, leaves her friendly hometown of River Heights for the West Coast and enrolls at Being a fan of the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew mysteries growing up I was not disappointed with the story or plot of the movie. The movie however does tend to cater toward the pre-teen (10-12) or teenage (13-15) age bracket. The acting was descent but if you consider the main actress Emma Roberts (Julia Roberts's niece) then you wouldn't expect anything less. The movie was entertaining and the story somewhat predictable, but it followed the lines of a good Nancy Drew mystery. Overall Rating 2.5 Stars (out of 5). Re-Watch Value: Moderate (maybe with my niece). Trivia: Emma Roberts worked with an on-set etiquette coach for the role.
