Morgan Rector brings to his screenwriting and filmmaking style inspiration from his past involvement with theatre, immersion in prose literature and myriad cinematic influences, resulting in cogent, thought-provoking dialogue and strong performances.

He was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia in 1977 but has been living in Toronto since the age of 12.

His film LIVING AMONGST THE CIVILIZED played at the WILDsound Film Festival in August 2008
