Mike Dobson Bio

Mike Dobson is an Artist. He is also an Animator, Designer, Director, Historian, Illustrator, Instructor, Producer, Sculptor, Storyboard artist and Writer.

Following completion of a Bachelor of Arts in History at McMaster University, Mike attended the Animation Program at Sheridan College part time and then completed his animation training in the Animation program at Capilano College in Vancouver. He later completed a residency at the Canadian Film Centre’s Habitat New Media program.

Mike has since worked on the television shows; Naked News, Sons of Butcher, Adventurers, Sam and Max, Pippi Longstocking, Rupert, Stickin’ Around, Little Bear, Stories of the Seventh Fire, Anne of Green Gables and Roboroach. Mike also worked on the feature films, Marco Polo, Return to Xanadu and Osmosis Jones.

Mike has written, produced and directed the animated pilot Siobhan. While working on the project, Mike has done every job there is to do in traditional animation. Mike Dobson is now devoting his time towards actively promoting the Siobhan property.
