Michael L. Holland sometimes feels like he was born watching movies. Thrilled by them, touched by them, taught by them. They are America's Art Form. So it wasn't long before he wanted to make them. Just as those that made him dream, he wanted to be apart of that dream factory.

And it was behind the camera that attracted him the most. So, to teach him that moviemaking isn't all glitz and glamour, his parents had him work as a Child Extra; up before dawn and home after dark to be part of those crowds in the background. He made shorts when he was young, continued work as an Extra (ask him about Back To The Future) and even worked through High School at the local video store.

Then it was off to college where he studied film and continued work on-set, finally behind the camera as a Production Assistant (ask him about Maverick and The Shadow).

All the while watching. All the while learning. All the while dreaming.

Since college, Holland has worked in Post Production, where he’s been part of the team that pioneered Digital Cinema with The Phantom Menace and Produced Digital Intermediates, most recently with Twilight. And through it all, he continued telling stories - writing, producing and directing when he could.

In 2006, Holland made his foray into feature production with Backstage Pass. That same year he was the invited speaker on Digital Cinema at the Jackson Hole Film Festival. In 2007, he Hosted & Produced video segments for Hollywood Babble-On on the NowLive Network, and just this year he plans to launch his own web series, Committed To You.

Who knows? As years ago movies made HIM dream, hopefully one of these will lead someone else to follow THEIRS.
