While Megan McChesney is no stranger to writing in other mediums, she and screenwriting are just getting to know each other. Lily Takes Aim is, in fact, the second screenplay she's ever finished, which isn't saying much because it's only one page long.
Though, that's not to say that there aren't others in the works. Megan is currently Managing Editor of Canadian Family and Wish magazines and has written freelance non-fiction for a number of print publications, including a stint as a sexuality columnist for The Toronto Star (a gig which proved that truth is sometimes stranger than fiction).
A life-long love of movies and the memory of a brief dabble in professional acting years ago inspired the spontaneous decision to take screenwriting classes in the evenings after work. Turns out she loves it more than she ever expected. Some of her best ideas have arrived while riding the subway to and from work in downtown Toronto, where she lives with her fiancé.
