PODCAST with Marshall Axani April 7th 2009 - Discussing Marshall's short film playing at WILDsound and their future filmmaking career.!
After graduating from Capilano University Film Program with an Advanced Diploma in Film Studies, Marshall Axani soon after won the first MPPIA Short Film Award with his pitch at the Whistler Film Festival 2007.
Marshall hopes to use his short film, “The Light of Family Burnam” to begin his career in the industry as a feature film director, writer, and editor, and is currently writing the script for his first feature.
He would love to help build up the Canadian indigenous film industry and continue to tell great stories in the process.
Marshall’s other accolades include two nominations at the Leo awards 2008, one as director of the short film “The Return”, and another as writer for “Three AM”, the later also winning best screenplay at VSFF 2008.
