Mark Montefiore is a young producer/creator who recently graduated from the Canadian Film Centre’s Producer Lab, with several award winning short films to his credit including, “BACK IN ’93” & “CAREER DAY!” (Both Bravo!FACTs) and most recently his first feature film, “EATING BUCCANEERS” (In post-production) starring Peter Keleghan. He has also created a live-action sitcom “ELLA” and a prime-time drama “BYRON BAY” which are both in development with Decode Entertainment and a late night animated series in development with marblemedia called, “DITCH PIRATES”.

In addition to several other television productions, Mark is in development as a producer on several feature films including a hockey bio-pic to be directed by Bruce McDonald, a horror-comedy called “THE CHANNEL”, and a documentary with CTV called, “SAMMY” about a former classmate of Montefiore who is now serving a life-sentence in the USA for his role as a high level Al-Qaeda operative.

Mark has recently attended the Rome Cinema Festival (’07) to foster relationships with Italian producers for an upcoming co-production, “WATER & OIL”. He was also part of the CFTPA delegation to Australia & New Zealand for “BYRON BAY” and was recently nominated for the Ontario Premier’s Award for Most Successful Recent Graduate.
