Marisa Ship Bio
Currently in her third year of Theatre and Drama Studies (University of Toronto and Sheridan College), Marisa Ship is in rehearsal for Theatre Erindale’s production of A Chaste Maid in Cheapside. She has recently been involved with Theatre Erindale’s debut of The Canadian Kings of Repertoire (Ron Cameron-Lewis) as well as having wrapped shooting a pilot (Adi Ashburner’s Farpoint) in which she played a high-strung pre-med student.
Past stage productions have included Picnic at Hanging Rock (Theatre Erindale), For Carol (Tarragon Spring Arts Fair), and Tanya Lee’s Growing Up XX, in which Marisa earned a 2006 Bloom Award for Writing as well as being nominated for a Bloom Award for Best Performance. Marisa’s on-screen involvement includes a supporting role on YTV’s System Crash, Soul Food, and multiple projects for the Sheridan Media Arts program. Marisa is absolutely thrilled to be a part of the WildSound readings and to have the opportunity to meet and work with fun, creative Canadian artists.
