LIOR HADAR - Born in 1973 in Israel, 3 days before the outbreak of the Yom Kippur war.
His mother, a painter, kept a lot of art books at home which infused him with the love of visual art. Along with a love for books and storytelling in general, his passion for film was soon to follow.
Studied film for two years in high school (1990-1992).In 1996, attended a one year Director's workshop at the Tel Aviv Open University's School for TV and Video and directed a short film entitled "The Bouquet".
In 2004-2005 attended the School Of Screenwriting in Tel Aviv and up to now completed screenplays for a feature length comedy, a TV series pilot, and several shorts, one of which, entitled "Palace", has been filmed last summer in New York City and directed by Mika Gill.
Came to Canada in April 2007 and in July of that year began pre-production on Hype, his second film, which he produced, edited, written and directed. The making of Hype, including pre-production, filming, and post-production, was rife with setbacks and lasted almost a year from July 2007 to June 2008.
