Kris Booth Bio
Kris Booth's obsession with moviemaking first struck him as a little boy. After being scared to death by the movie “Jaws”, Kris can recall saying, ‘I want to do that to others.’ At that exact moment his journey into filmmaking began. While keeping his artistic pastimes broad through dance, visual art and writing at Canterbury School for the Arts in Ottawa, Kris kept sight of his goals and attended Ryerson University’s Film Studies program, in Toronto, where he was finally able to focus on his one true love. With heart, a strong vision, and steadfast dedication Kris won the Norman Jewison Filmmaker’s Award two years in a row and has completed numerous short films with his company Shoes Full of Feet, including the award winning “No Man’s Land” and “Safe”, produced with a grant from the OMDC Al Waxman Calling Card program. Most recently he directed the adventure caper “For All The Marbles”. Next up, he is directing the adventurous family drama feature from Shoes Full of Feet, called “THE LEFTOVER BANDIT”, which recently completed the National Screen Institute’s Features First program, and is now in development.
