Kohl Glass (Writer/Director) was born in Mesa, AZ, grew up in a couple little towns in Colorado, returned to Mesa for high school, lived in Japan for two years, and then went to Utah to study film at Brigham Young University.
There he made the award winning film The Promethean which, though award winning, almost broke the bank and drove him from filmmaking, but not forever. Fortunately, The Promethean paid off and Kohl was able to find support and funding to begin the arduous task of making Der Ostwind which encompassed close to five years of his life. During the production of Der Ostwind, Kohl directed an adaptation of the Grimm Brothers' fairy tale The Fisherman and His Wife for the local PBS Affiliate program Always Children, and he also worked as storyboard artist on The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang, which will be released theatrically by Sony BMG in the fall of 2006.
Now that Der Ostwind, is completed Kohl's next project is a feature film titled, The Great Hellpike of Steelwell Pond. Contact: kohl@eventidecreative.com
