Growing up in England Kitt has been in love with movies ever since she watched E.T. for the first time at the age of six. After a few years, and an unwholesome obsession with Disney films, it was during Saturday afternoons watching matinee’s of black and white movies on TV that love turned to obsession.

Kitt picked up a film camera for the first time while she was studying for a degree in English Literature at Cambridge University. While the ambition to make more films had to be delayed for a few years eventually it came true when she attended the London Film Academy. So far Kitt has produced three low budget short films and directed one. She has also frequently been behind the camera as a camera (wo)man and now combines film making with other things including writing.

Recently returned from a year travelling around the world her first novel, inspired by the films of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s will be published later this year.
