Ken Kabatoff has dreamed of being a Director since he was five years old. He has fought back against the naysayers and is finally beginning to live his dream. At eighteen years old he has won a handful of awards including Best Drama at a local film festival, and has even been a part of the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner. Family and friends have been his major support over the past year and he is grateful for it.
Perhaps it is fate, or just extraordinary luck but Ken has been a part of a group of filmmaking friends from his area where he has grown up, The Kootenays (in British Columbia). Together they have produced four award winning shorts, and two feature films; to them this is just the beginning of a lifetime of filmmaking.
Ken plans to attend film school in Vancouver, British Columbia for the following year and then set out to do what he’s always dreamed of; being a professional director.
