Kelly Hope Taylor Bio
Actor. Writer. Singer. Filmmaker.
Kelly Hope Taylor graduated from U of T and Sheridan College in performance with Honours. Some theatre highlights: a staged workshop reading of "Until Niagara Falls Runs Dry", a new play by Shannon Kitchings, co-founder of the celebrated ColoUred Girls' Collective. She also performed in an Equity workshop adaptation of James Reaney's Award winning story "The Box Social" with Preface Theatre. Taylor has also appeared in film and television. A short film titled "The Room" premiered at the Warsaw International Film Festival. She was invited this past spring to participate as an actor for a staged reading in the Industry Series with the Reelworld Film Festival. She participated in the critically acclaimed TV series "Its Me, Gerald", a six-part series on Showcase Television which boasts some of Canada's finest actors (Kristen Thompson, Diego Metamoros and Tom McCamus). She was also a guest star on the UPN television series "Kevin Hill" starring Taye Diggs. Kelly is also a writer-contributing to both Toronto Exclusive and TO411daily.com, two entertainment industry e-zines. Her comedic talents paired her with her partner, fellow actor Mark Day.
