Karen Monaco is currently the writer for The Big Ten, a weekday morning talk show on MTV. She has also taught English and Film Studies at local high schools in Buffalo and Manhattan.
Karen earned a B.A. in Literature and Language at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, an M.Ed in English Education at the University at Buffalo, and completed a Certificate in Screenwriting from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Outside of The Big Ten, her main writing focus is feature length screenplays, the most recent being Savor the Consonants and an adaptation she co-wrote of the novel Mirror Lake, by Thomas Christopher Greene. She resides in her hometown of Buffalo, New York with her husband and her newborn son, Tate.
