MOVIE PODCAST - Kal Benedict PODCAST - June 18th 2009
Kal Daniel Benedict is a graduate of the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
In high school, Kal directed and had several of his plays performed at the Ottawa Fringe Festival and at two established performing arts schools, The Whitham School For the Performing Arts and Expression Studio. Kal also directed several live shows that featured on the main stage at the annual Ottawa Exhibition.
After graduating from AADA and spending a few years performing in off-Broadway and independent film, Kal's passion for writing came to the fore. Kal now lives in Toronto, and in addition to Knuckleball, has several others projects in pre-production.
Kal was referred to Thomas Marchese by a mutual friend, who felt that his love of music and writing style would help illustrate the everyday struggles of the amateur artist in Knuckleball. Working with both Thomas and Dhruv Jani was a delightful and educational experience.
