Born and raised in the entertainment indust, Jules Ross, daughter of Bob Ross, owner of the Rex Jazz Pub, gained hands-on experience in the business early on. Educated as a lawyer, with a joint Law/M.B.A. degree, Jules has been always involved with the industry. Initially, Jules worked as an entertainment lawyer and consultant (more on that below) and quickly shifted gears as she became drawn to the creative side of the business. Jules followed her passion and began down the arduous yet rewarding road of acting.
Currently, Jules has performed in over 30 films, television, live readings and festivals and has hosted events. Jules participated in the 24 and 48 Hour Film Challenges, at Raise Your Voice a World Vision event, on History TV, as well as in the films, Making the Cut, Daddy's Little Girl and The Morning After. In addition, Jules worked as host and producer in A Gift from the Stars, a fundraiser geared towards feeding the hungry people in Toronto with proceeds going to the Daily Bread Food Bank. She continues to hone her craft.
Jules hasn't forgotten about her academic background. She acts as the Director of Creative Services at Gaski, where she fuses her academic credentials with her dynamic experience in the creative fields. As well, she has consulted for entertainment clients such as Associated Producers Ltd., Phase One Recording Studios and Durham College, where she paneled at the Rock 'n Reel Festival and lectured on legal and business issues in the entertainment industry. As well, she has published articles in 24 Hours, trade papers and entertainment magazines.
