Joyce Jahnke UpdateOctober 16, 2007  In my last blog I failed to mention that I am completely done (I think) with the animation project I was working on over the summer and I am awaiting the status of the script from the studio. It was a very interesting gig but a tad bit off from my usual style of writing. Overall I had a great time networking with the owners and staff. I am currently in the process of working on a new feature script for Actors Domenick Lombardozzi (The Wire, Miami Vice, Entourage) and Vincent Caiola. Not sure if it will happen but it looks good at this moment. This project is more up my alley as far as genre goes…action, drama, crime, police and all of the other great stuff that makes entertaining film. I am finishing up the treatment for a similar police drama… a short film (approx. 30mins) which I hope to shoot in the Spring of 2008 in Staten island, New York. This film is going to require lots and lots of props and special effect$$$. Casting Joyce's short film I have been casting talent for my film "Love on the Brink" for a few months now. It is a SAG short film and I have received some interesting responses from some great New York actors. Totally not covering cost for talent to travel from out of state for a short film. I'm sticking with the locals. I was very happy when an actress whom I worked with in the past showed interest for the lead role in the film. Karen Summerton, is an aspiring actress currently working in film and television. Wow! She is really amazing and I know that she will totally bring out the main character to my delight. Other talent attached to the film includes Actor Vincent Caiola and aspiring Actress/ Model Nefertiti Jones. I still have about three supporting roles to fill, but I will be side tracked with some out-of-nowhere projects for a few weeks before returning my attention back to completing my cast list. A Website for Joyce? I am still in the process of having a website developed. I simply do not have the time to focus on it but its something I really need and want especially now since I am starting to get footage from projects I've work on in the past as either a writer or crew member. Hopefully sometime in December I will be able to sit down with someone and let them know exactly what I am looking for in a site.
