About seven weeks ago I got an offer from an Animator/Producer to be the first to ink his new feature animation and now the day has come to finally get my hands "inky". I had no prior interest in animated anything until the call came in and then I became a huge advocate. The concept is very unique as well as complex…Why me? I don't know…But I do know that I am very eager to get started on the script. The contract is signed (as per last week) and I am pacing around waiting on my hardcopy of the treatment to arrive.
Most of my summer plans are now on hold. I am waiting for at least two other assignments to be pushed my way so until then I will be hermitized trying to conquer this new challenge.
This is becoming a very interesting year for me. I am juggling a few new hats…first "Producer" and now "Animation Screenwriter". Sounds a bit goofy but it'll do for now.
So to keep busy I will continue writing my new feature drama which, I started a few weeks back. I plan to raise funds for this script and shoot it myself next summer and I will also continue to map out my plans for the winter 2007 shoot of my film "Love on the Brink."
Joyce works with Film Composer
I have been working with a really good guy regarding selecting music for my film. Film Composer Steven Gutheinz is an Indie filmmaker's savior when it comes to helping create or license music.
My soon to be produced film "Love on the Brink" has a rollercoaster effect of emotions…some scenes are upbeat and other are down below so I am working on selecting a variety of styles of music. Perhaps I should wait until the final cut is made but I am having too much fun.
