Born in New York City, Joyce Jahnke is an aspiring screenwriter with a mind devoted to creating diverse scripts. She has written plays in the drama, action, urban and comedy genres.
Joyce's writing portfolio includes feature length screenplays, short narratives and teleplays.
In 1999, she graduated from the State University of New York with a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing. Prior to graduating Joyce had already worked in creative services for a local AM radio station and small town newspaper.
Joyce started writing short stories and plays at the age of ten. Her career in film began in 2004. After years of working in "Corporate America", when she decided to return to the world of creative writing (which she loves) leaving behind a rewarding career in advertising and public relations.
Today, Joyce has a variety of projects at various stages. She is the author of six screenplays and one teleplay. Her self produced and written short "LOVE ON THE BRINK" is due to start filming in the winter of 2007.
Joyce currently resides in New York City with her husband and daughter.
