Writer/Director Jason Bourque's vision and dedication have yielded respect in both the artistic and commercial communities of the film industry. In May of 1999, Jason was nominated twice, and won a Leo Award for directing excellence as adjudicated by the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television. He was again nominated for directing in 2004 and 2005 and 2006.
To date, Jason has directed three television movies - "Wild Fire 7", a family disaster film, and the science fiction thrillers "Maximum Surge", and "Dark Storm". Other drama credits include the relationship comedy "Below the Belt", "Under The Cover," a comedy mini-series made in association with CBC, and over 60 commercials, short films, and music videos. Documentary credits include "Easter: The Jesus Mystery" and "Shadow Company", a feature documentary on mercenaries, currently in the festival circuit.
Jason holds a BFA from the University of Victoria with directed studies in film and video and is a graduate of the Vancouver Film School.
