JANE HOPKINS JANE HOPKINS Jane recently graduated with a BFA in Creative Writing from Chapman University in Orange, California. While she has been a movie fan for as long as she can remember, it was only quite recently that she decided to try her hand at screenwriting. During her time at Chapman, she co-wrote two short films, and she’s currently developing more screenwriting projects. A huge sci-fi and horror fan, Jane particularly enjoys movies that feature special makeup effects and animatronics. Interested first and foremost in character development, she loves the idea of bringing a memorable creature to life through a combination of makeup, puppeteering and acting. She feels that despite their artistic merits, “monster movies” aren’t always given their due, and hopes she can help change that someday! Jane has never been able to pick an absolute favourite film, but of course, David Cronenberg’s The Fly is definitely at the top of the list.
