Jane Clark Blog - May 10th/2007

Jane Clark looking for people

Hi all, I could use some help. I am currently seeking donations for a new short film called "The Touch." The project is a beautiful period piece set in 1906, a romantic moment between Renee Vivien, a well known lesbian poet and her lover Kerime, a muslim woman married to a Turkish diplomat. The story is framed around Renee's poem "The Touch."

The project is fiscally sponsored by Women Make Movies, which means that any amount you can send will be tax deductible as a charitable donation at the end of the year (for US citizens). My goal is to be financed through production by mid June and any donations would be gratefully accepted. Starting May 15th, you can donate by credit card through the Women Make Movies Website at http://www.wmm.com/filmmakers/sponsored_projects.shtml; look for The Touch OR Fleeting on the sponsor page and follow the instructions.

For further information you can check out the website at www.thetouchshortfilm.homestead.com

I'll get a blog to you in the next couple of days and I am going to try to send a festival diary, daily from Cannes.
