Is it enough to be happy
to breathe
To squint into the light
Is it good enough to have known the
haze like silver dust suspended
in cloudy water
in a cold morning
I'm starting to understand that
nothing is random
Neither in natural terms
nor the pavement-bound
world of humanity
(As I transcribed this, I initially read “natural terms” as “mutual tears”)
